How do I know what length or width belt strap I need?

There are a few different ways to find this out, typically to figure out the length we'd say for men add 2" to your pant size. So if you wear a size 34 pant get a 36 belt strap. Since women's sizes dont work the same we suggest finding a belt you wear this fits well and measure from where the buckle attaches to the hole you most often wear it on. What is the best flute for me as a beginner flute player?

After 16 years selling Odell Borg Native American Style flutes, we have found that the Sparrowhawk A is a great beginner flute. This is because of the mid-range tone, hole and flute size, and price!

I have been playing my beginner Sparrowhawk A flute for a while. What flute should I learn now?

We always suggest the Retail Hawk G, as a second flute. It is a little lower in tone, and still very easy to play. The Redtail Hawk G is what most Native American Muscians use, and plays well with other instruments like guitar and piano.

Do I need to clean my Native Style Flute?

No! It is best to leave the flute alone, see your High Spirits Book that came with your flute for more info on this.

How do I measure my finger size?

We always recomend you get your fingers sized professionally, even a local Walmart, or Target, will have the proper sizing tools. Keep in mind though your size will vary depending on the width of the ring. So you may be a size 7 in a thin band and a size 8 in a thick band. So get sizes for both.

How do I measure my bracelet size?

Take a piece of string and wrap it around your wrist, then measure it with a tape measure.

Why does my sterling silver (.925) jewelry turn my skin or clothes blackish green?

When a piece of jewelry has been buffed or polished on a buffing wheel we use a buffing compound that can impregnate into the silver, this compound can rub off onto you and your clothes. So to prevent this clean the piece with mild soapy water, rinse, and clean with a terry cloth towell. *Please Note - That a jewelry polishing cloth may cause the same problem. Also in severe cases the Native Americans sometimes put clear nail polish on the backside of there jewelry.

How can I prevent my jewelry from tarnishing?

Whenever you are not wearing your jewelry keep it in a sealed ziploc bag, this will reduce tarnish by 95%.

Can I wear my Inlaid Jewelry everyday?

Yes you can, we suggest taking it off when you are around cleaning products or chemicals and during showers, bathing, or swiming. Those things can soften the glue that holds the inlay in making it weak.

If I order a piece of jewelry online will it look EXACTLY like the picture?

No. Every single piece of jewelry made by our artists is one of a kind.

Do you purchase old pawn or estate jewelry?

Yes we do, it depends on the piece. Send us a picture and information.

What types of jewelry can you repair?

We can do jewelry, cleaning, refinishing, bead restranding, and stone replacement. Send us an email with a photo of the item you need fixed and we will let you know if it is something we can do.

Why is UPS the only shipping option you have?

We have used UPS for over 15 years and have always recieved great service with them. They also have a wonderful tracking system. With the value of the pieces we sell it is nice to always know where a package is at. Occasionally we will ship USPS, but there is no tracking. Please contact us if you want to ship USPS.

How are your shipping rates calculated?

Our rates are calculated on weight and location. When you choose and item and enter your shipping address UPS calculates the price for us. We do not charge any additional handling you pay exactly what UPS charges us.

How long does it typically take for UPS shipping and is my package insured?

To find out shipping times ONCE THE ITEM HAS SHIPPED(not including the time for the artist to make your item), you can visit UPS's WEBSITE. All packages are shipped with insurance.

Why do you charge a Restocking Fee for Returns and Exchanges?

The Majority of our products are custom ordered handmade. And because of this when a custom item is returned it is often difficult to find someone with the same size.
