Indian Drummer Wax Sculpture

Dave Powell, a fourth generation Montanan, is a traditional sculptor and painter of figures of the Old West and a costumer for the film and television industry. Born in Kalipell in 1954, Powell is the son of artists Ace Powell and Nancy McLaughlin Powell. Powell has been designer and/or costumer for motion picture films including: Sacred Ground, Grey Eagle, Far and Away, Arachnophobia, Always, Back to the Future II & III, Silverado, The Good Old Boys and Alive. Television work includes costumer and/or set costumer for: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Brotherhood of the General, Lonesome Dove and Ishi Last of His Tribe. He originally starting making these wax sculptures for films.
