Flutes

Our Native American style flutes are made here in Arizona, by Artist Odell Borg. They are hand crafted from a solid piece of the finest walnut, aromatic cedar, birch, spanish cedar, finished with three coats of a non-toxic hardening oil for durability and clarity of sound. Our flutes are buffed and hand burnished and then coated with several coats of non-toxic tung oil which is a hardening oil that is extracted from the nut of the tung tree. The extra buffing and multiple coats of tung oil give our Native American style flutes the polished finish. We do not use any polyurethane's on the flutes. Each Native American style flute is precision-tuned so that it will blend perfectly with other instruments. All of our flutes made by Odell Borg (Except the Pocket Flute Series) are professional quality and many are used in concert venues. 

Each of our Native American style Flutes comes with an excellent CD that includes instructions on how to play the Native style flute, how to use different flute techniques, how to care for your Native American style flute, as well as sample songs, and more. An instructional booklet that includes fingering charts is also included. All the flutes (except the pocket and little hawk flutes) are 6 holes and come with a leather tie that easily converts them into a 5 hole flute. When comfortable, just remove the leather tie and experience the use of the 6 hole flute.

We also carry Odell Borg Signature Series line of Native style Flutes. The Signature Series flutes are the result of much testing and experimenting with the subtleties of creating the flute voice. These Signature Flutes are limited to one hundred of each key "A", "G", "F#" and "High D" and "High E". The bore and interior chamber are polished and moisture-proofed. We apply multiple coats of tung oil and hand buff them to a satin luster. These steps not only create a beautiful instrument, but also enhance the resonance and sound quality of the flute.
